After nearly 3 days of solid travel, and not much food or sleep…. I’m feeling a bit lightheaded, sitting here in my chair it feels like I’m in a rocking boat. But I AM HERE! At last.  And the air is amazing, it smells so good and it’s so WARM and humid, such a welcome change from the freezing dry airline air.  I got more than a few nosebleeds from it on the way over.

Before I even brought my luggage upstairs I made some friends.  I moved a big millepede and a tiny, 2cm long (baby?) gecko out of the parking lot with my bare hands. Little cuties <3

On the second plane ride, my brother and I were seated with an 11 year old boy who was travelling alone.  The minute I took out my Gameboy color his eyes just light up.  He didn’t recognize the system, it was older than he was lol. He wanted to trade Pokemon from his DS with me, but he didn’t have a Gameboy cable (do they even make those anymore!?)  He ended up taking my Gameboy and playing it more than I did. </that wakward moment when I’m 24 years old and 11 year old kids are still stealing my toys>

My mom brought me something that I had ordered online, I’ve been waiting SO LONG to read it!  ”Princess Knight: Part 1” by Osamu Tezuka.  Originally published in 1953-56, this is THE original “princely girl” manga which inspired Rose of Versailles (aka Lady Oscar) which in turn inspired Revolutionary Girl Utena, and countless others.  It goes without saying that Tezuka’s art is as gorgeous as it is iconic.  I haven’t had a chance to read much of it, but I can already tell this is going to be one of my favorite comics ever.

I’m going to hold off devouring it now and try my best to get as much of tomorrow’sSister Claire page done.  I probably won’t have it finished, but I’ll aim to at least have a decent filler/sample image up.
