Can i ask though? I always thought you were demi. Some time ago i had a pretty hard time explaining to my godmother the differences about sex, gender and sexuality i think in the end she still didn't understand why a trans would be a 'trans' or operate if she liked woman. as if who is trans can only be straight and only cis could be gay. I also noticed that most people don't believe that asexuality is actually possible. i do have some difficulties in understanding some labels tho i admit.

Unfortunately, most people reject any idea of sexuality or gender that isn’t their own experience,  either because it bothers them, or they just can’t put themselves in another’s shoes.  (What I would like to know is why they have to understand and experience something to accept it.  Taking someone at their word and respecting them is enough.)

I do identify as demisexual, which is part of the asexual spectrum. Here’s a page that answers some FAQs about demis.
