I posted this morning that the Wonder Woman TV pilot will be apparently be using a heeled boot for her costume. The flat heeled version was just for stunts. I’ve received a lot of comments on the boots, with some saying they like the look. I hate the heeled boot and here is why.

Wonder Woman is free of vanity. For her a costume should be utilitarian — to cover what needs be covered and to make her recognizable to scare off weak-willed adversaries and alert others to her involvement. 

Having heels on her boots adds nothing. A boot heel will not make her run faster or kick harder or assist her in doing her job or make her recognizable. The only thing a heel does is please the eye. And that is not something Wonder Woman should not care about.

This costume needs a little less heel and a little bit more pleather in the bustier.

Ugh, it’s too shiny and sparkly, I never liked it from the start.  She looks more like a bad cosplayer than the real Wonder Woman.  Also, her hair should be 3 times bigger.
