Did I mention the Sister Claire book will have some all-new chapter cover art? Because it will! I am almost done with all the book work, which means very soon I can order the first proof of the book to finalize everything!
It was necessary to add new chapter art after I had to split some ultra-long chapters into multiple ones. The book will have 9 chapters, and the webcomic will be updated eventually to include all the new art and chapter revamps.
Yesterday I finished updating 70+ pages of “Sister Claire”, updating the artwork, editing dialogue, in some cases completely redoing panels or coloring. It’s been a bit agonizing and time consuming, but the result is so worth it. This will be a book I can be 100% proud of. The top of this mountain of work is in sight!
All that remains is finishing the new Atlantis pages (all sketched, I just need to ink and color about 11 more) finish inking and coloring the book cover, and then write up the extra commentary earned by the donators on Kickstarter.
Thank you for patiently waiting for the book! I’m devoting 100% of my energies to getting this book finished ASAP so it can be available at my next big convention. Regular comic updates will resume in a week!
I’m thinking of livestreaming some of my inking progress for the Atlantis redraw. If my internet allows it, that is.
Only 2 Atlantis pages left to sketch for the book! 8)
I really enjoy drawing Gabrielle and Sal’s interactions. <3

Aaaaah Gabrielle, I missed drawing you.
This page reminds me of this “Go Get a Roomie” crossover comic I made with Chloe!
These are some old reference photos and a sketch I drew while conceptualizing the underwater Atlantis club in Sister Claire. It’s interesting to look back at what inspired me while I revisit these pages, which ideas went unused (mostly due to lack of time) and what new ideas I have now.
To date, it’s been my favorite location (and also the most stressful and time consuming to draw over and over!) because of all the thought and details that went into it. My initial concept was “A nightclub that is just as accessible to mermaids as it is to creatures with legs.” This would be accomplished by connecting every part of the club by small rivers, tubes, and fishtanks so that aquatic and amphibious patrons would both be comfortable.
