The only joke in this game that actually made me laugh

Lotus: What the hell is a funyarinpa?
Junpei: What do you mean "what the hell is a funyarinpa"? You mean...you don't know?!
Lotus: How the hell would I know!?
Junpei: How could you not know?!
Junpei: That's...that's practically blasphemous.
Junpei: Say you're sorry! Apologize to the funyarinpa! Goodness, you are such a rude woman.

Sorry to keep ranting about 999, but Lotus’ design bothers me so much. Nothing irks me like poorly thought-out character design.

It really has absolutely nothing to do with her character, they just stuck her in a bellydancing outfit for the heck of it. Whoever heard of a computer hacker mom who wears something like that as a casual outfit? That’s like making a kindly father figure character who wears a garish clown costume, and it’s never explained why.

This is more how I imagined she’d look, given just the dialogue text and no visual cues. Actually, I’d had made her look a bit older since all the characters can’t seem to stop commenting on it.

I can’t believe I’ve had the patience to play through 3 different endings of “999”, but I somehow have.

Slight spoilers ahead.

I had a little too much fun with this… Now imagining some amazing class for kids where ponies are used to teach them about different sexualities and gender fluidity/identity.

Yamino (aka Elena Barbarich) is a self-published, freelance artist graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design, majoring in Sequential Art. She was born in Rome, Italy, but has also lived in California, Austria and Belgium. She is fluent in English, conversational in Italian and French, understands most German and Spanish, and is teaching herself Japanese. Her favorite drink is bubble tea (aka boba.)

In the future, she hopes to finish her webcomic series "Sister Claire", and continue working on several others she has planned. Ideally she’d like to have a steady job as a concept artist/storyboard artist/comic artist/illustrator. She would also like to teach English in Japan.

Other than writing and drawing comics, her hobbies include voice-acting, dancing in front of the mirror, travel, learning languages, creating custom clothing, speaking in the 3rd person, and posing for pretentious photos.
