imagine trying to get up these stairs drunk.. lolol

imagine trying to get up these stairs sober

imagine trying

imaging falling down those stairs

but once you mastered them, and some murderer broke in -you could escape upstairs.  And while they try to figure out how the hell they work, you can slip out the window and escape to freedom. Just sayin.

They used to build castle stairs uneven intentionally for that reason.

I would fall and die if I had these stairs.
But the headlines would be amazing.

This looks like it might actually be part of the cat-friendly house designs.  It certainly doesn’t look to be designed for humans.

Perchta means “the bright one” and Frau Perchta (might be) a variant of the Germanic/Norse goddess Frigg. She is often depicted as a female spirit in a white robe and, like Krampus, she is said to wander the countryside during the wintertime, most specifically during the time before Christmas, and especially on December 12th, Twelfth Night. Also like Krampus, Frau Perchta knew if children of the household had been good or bad during the year. The good kids would receive a small silver coin in their shoe. For the bad kids, Frau Perchta would slit open their stomachs, pull out their innards, and replace them with stones and straw. The masks of Frau Perchta have two different styles: Schönperchten, which means “Beautiful Perchten” and Schiachperchten, which means “Ugly Perchten.” The beautiful mask is supposed to grant people good fortune and wealth, while the ugly mask was used to drive out ghosts.

Jeez, that’s a little harsh.  Even Krampus would only whip children or kidnap them in baskets. XD;

Before forensics, DNA, and CSI we had dollhouses – an unimaginable collection of miniature crime scenes, known as the Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death. Created in the 1930s and 1940s by a crime-fighting millionaire heiress grandmother Frances Glessner, the Nutshells helped homicide detectives hone their investigative skills. Despite all the advances in forensics, the Nutshells are still used today to train detectives.

…Now here’s an interesting movie idea…

Neptune Mirror

This has been in the works for a little while. A friend of mine did a Neptune cosplay and I realized that there really weren’t any readily available “Neptune Mirrors” out there. That’s when I started planning and a little while later, this was the result. It is a based off the anime version of the mirror(manga one will have to wait until I can find the proper material) with the design altered a little to fit the look.

It’s made entirely with layered acrylic pieces, carefully matched up to be smooth and even. The detailing has been etched in. Admittedly, the photos don’t show just how beautiful the etching came out.

I also included a size reference picture, please pardon the messy hair!

I’ll have a couple of these available for purchase at Otakon, but I’ll primarily be taking pre-orders there and on my website for delivery at the end of August.

You can pre-order one here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/104866241/neptune-mirror-sailor-moon-inspired-art

I really hope you all like it!
