The Legend of Korra - Episode Three/The Revelation Dialogue Transcript
I applaud your effort, Ash… this was quite a massive endeavor.
Hi all!
The third episode of The Legend of Korra aired this weekend, but I couldn’t find any versions of it with subtitles and the captioning on my parents’ television was superbly crappy. My mom kindly wrote out in vague shorthand the gist of each scene (example: “They are arguing about money now!”) so I could understand what was going on, but I decided later to kick it up a notch so others in my situation can enjoy it too.
Using my parents’ DVR and online versions of the episode too, I’ve zoomed in, observed body language, tried to lipread cartoon mouths, cobbled together captions, and pestered my lovely patient friends for confirmation about the sounds in certain scenes. The end result? A transcript of dialogue for episode three!
I do not claim this to be completely accurate. I’m sure I’ve missed stuff. Still, this will probably help out other deaf kids like me, and if you don’t speak English but want to know what’s up in The Legend of Korra, give this a read!
